Ellen Clardy is Associate Professor of Economics in the Archie W. Dunham College at Houston Christian University, where she has taught since 2010. After earning her M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Rice University, she worked in energy consulting for nearly 10 years, including at Econ One in Los Angeles and Skipping Stone in Houston. Next, she was called to full-time motherhood for 5 years and then teaching at HCU, which is easily the next best calling. She has presented articles at SHSU General Business Conference and Christian Scholars Conference, published in several journals, and maintains a weekly blog at Medium.com to share economic truths from the literature to fight many of the economic misunderstandings prevalent today. In her spare time, she loves reading books on economics, psychology, and theology, and being an active member of Bridge Point Bible Church in Houston.
